Sarah Bradford

Sarah Bradford

Founder + Creator | CEO

Sarah is a mother of two, Certified Personal Trainer, Pre & Postnatal Fitness Expert, Diastasis Recti & Core Rehabilitation Specialist, Childbirth Educator, and the creator of LUNA's fitness methodology. Sarah began her career

in wellness a Certified Holistic Nutrition Counselor specializing in fertility and pregnancy, and as a Childbirth Educator. When she became pregnant with her son, she was was shocked to learn that there was no prenatal specific exercise (aside from yoga) in her community. It was through her own pregnancy, postpartum rehabilitation, and fitness journey that she learned just how crucial this is. Sarah went on a mission to provide others with the empowerment, strength, and wellness they deserve to have healthier, happier, easier pregnancies and births and thus, LUNA was born.

"My passion for working with people in their childbearing years stems deep. I am no stranger to the struggles many people face when it comes to getting pregnant. My husband is a two time cancer survivor, and while the treatments he went through ultimately saved his life, they also left him unable to have children naturally. We knew this was a possibility and took the necessary precautions before his treatment began to be able to have a family in the future. Being that it was male factor infertility, I assumed that I would get pregnant easily, but this was not the case. I went through a round of IVF followed by three embryo transfer cycles before finally getting pregnant with my now four year old son. While my pregnancy was overall uneventful, we had a few scares along the way, such as the miscarriage of his twin 9 weeks into my pregnancy, and the diagnosis of a single umbilical artery in my son's umbilical cord. I had the common low back pain and pelvic pain but at the time didn't know that this was potentially preventable. Following the birth of my son, I found that I had a four finger Diastasis Recti. I committed myself to healing and spent the next 18 months diligently rehabilitating my Diastasis while working to regain my athleticism. It was through this journey that I noticed the gap between rehab and fitness and knew deep in my soul that this was a hole I wanted to fill.

Fast forward a few years later, I endured two more rounds of IVF before finally getting pregnant with my daughter. During my second pregnancy, I used my methodology from preconception all the way up to birth, and noticed an immense difference in how I felt both physically and mentally throughout my pregnancy. My two births were vastly different with the first being an induction that led to two days of labor and several hours of pushing. My second birth was a rapid and intense two hours in total with just a few minutes of pushing before baby Ever arrived, en caul! My postpartum recovery has been much smoother and easier this time around and I owe it all to LUNA, and seeing my Physical Therapist both during pregnancy and postpartum.

I am truly passionate about empowering womxn to feel strong, confident, and powerful in their journeys into and through motherhood." - Sarah

Nan is a Movement+ Life Coach in the SF Bay Area. She helps people design their lifestyles in ways that are most congruent with their highest values. Originally from upstate New York (585!), Nan began her career in the digital advertising

industry in Manhattan, NY, just after graduating from SUNY Oswego in 2006. She completed her undergrad with a Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting & Mass Communication and fun fact: was the President of her sorority. After 7 years of “faking the funk” in the industry, Nan got real with herself and decided to let go of being in a job that didn’t fulfill her or speak to her purpose – and resigned.

With the loving nudge from her Mentor at the time, Mastin Kipp, she continued on her new courageous path and left NYC for the west coast, where she began to pursue a career in neurocentric movement training in San Francisco, CA.

Now, Nan is a full time Coach, with an emphasis on movement, helping people discover who they are and what really matters to them.  "I believe that the body is a vehicle of expression and is meant to be moved." Leah Curran

Leah has been working in wellness and fitness for more than a decade - teaching ballet and modern dance, Barre, HIIT fitness classes, and yoga with a specialization in prenatal and postnatal yoga.

She discovered a passion for nurturing women through pregnancies and beyond in 2015 when she was pregnant with her son Edison. As a professional dancer and general fitness enthusiast, she was curious to see how pregnancy would shift her ability to engage in her usual movement practices and how she could adapt these practices to accommodate pregnancy and recovery postpartum - with specific knowledge of how to adapt for recovery from a c-section and diastases. Leah received her pre and post natal yoga training from Cybele Tomlinson and Baby Bliss, has extensive knowledge of anatomy and somatics from years of dance training, as well as extensive pre/postnatal fitness training at LUNA (and is currently in the process of becoming certified in Women's Fitness and Nutrition through NASM). She also has over three years of experience wrangling a rambunctious kiddo and navigating the constantly morphing challenges of motherhood. Leah's classes mimic what she has always been drawn to - fitness routines that engage the full body and breath and are accessible and fun for all bodies.

You can find Leah teaching LUNA Yoga Sculpt, pre & postnatal yoga, and kids yoga & dance classes on the app and in our studio!
