Sarah Coombs, MOT, OTR/L, RYT

Occupational Therapist

Sarah has been a practicing occupational therapist since 2012, with prior experience in pediatrics and Early Intervention. In 2017, Sarah completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, later going on to practice and teach Ashtanga-based vinyasa yoga.

Through her years of practicing this style of yoga, Sarah developed a deeper love of applied anatomy and biomechanics. As someone who had always been a bit clumsy and not at all athletic, yoga provided her with both a sense of calm as well as a newfound strength and connection to her body.

During the course of her career as an OT, Sarah also started to develop an interest in pelvic health, which was solidified after the birth of her daughter in 2019. Despite being incredibly active and feeling prepared for labor, her daughter’s birth resulted in an unplanned cesarean, which left Sarah feeling disappointed and confused. Even more confusing, at her postpartum visit a few weeks later she was told she could resume exercise but not to “go crazy” and like many others, was sent on her way with no guidance.

Sarah has personally experienced progress and setbacks in her own postpartum recovery and is continually finding better ways to support her own body. She is excited to work with you and teach you these skills for yourself so that you may have a healthy and supported postpartum experience!
